The implications of a loss of faith in any fiat currency and the governments pumping them up can be a little strange, how close to the edge are we?
Who really knows?

Having been through one collapse in my lifetime I wonder how many people are prepared if a collapse does happen ?
This would be a good question in a nationwide poll .
As a side note- I would'nt want to be in a major city if a collapse ever did happen.

You have become the model for destruction-Spain, Italy, Portugal and others are soon to follow. They all have their own young masters of the universe who have steered them onto the shoals of destruction.
Good luck Olympic.
The lesson we are all going to learn is that if you hand government a blank check you are going to get burned, left, right or center it does not matter.
Dust off those Drachma plates, you are going to need them.

Check out the 4th from the last page in this research document published yesterday. It compares the percentage of people no longer paying their mortgages by county in 2006 and today.
Scary!

Stop with all the "it's gonna collapse" talk. I'm sorry to say that the US dollar will be the last to go (the winner). Lets not panic anybody, In the end those who hold the most US dollars will be the in the best position. Just my opinion. I look at it this way, if the US dollar collapses then all hell would break out, who wants that, the Dems, the Republicans, the Fed???? Heck no!!!! Discuss....

The real winners will be those who understand fiscal responsibility.
Wanting and being are two seperate realities, you cannot wish for one and practice the other.
There can never be safety or security without fiscal responsibility.
Much of the population is getting ready to learn that lesson first hand.

Nobody wants the dollar to collapse, but inevitably it is going to lose substantial value and it's not really a fact that can be altered. We're really living in a phony economy built on spending and excess credit, and government debt is far too high that it can ever be serviced for 100% on the dollar. As soon as the world realizes that the U.S. will not be able to make good on its debts, the party is over. The question is when will this happen. If you look back at the dot-com or housing bubble, there was a catalyst event that caused investors to look more closely at the realities of the situation. The Dot-com catalyst was the anti-trust ruling against Microsoft, and the catalyst for the housing crash was the failure of Lehman Brothers. I bet the U.S. catalyst will be either runaway inflation or a persistently high unemployment rate.
