In our business, essential air service should be at the top of the list of things to cut. That's just one small piece of pork; there are many other places where the budget should be cut. Including reducing government employee headcount.
+1. EAS is a ridiculously huge waste. The only place that requires that kind of service is Alaska... and maybe some of the Northern Midwest states (Idaho, Montana, North and South Dakota, Wyoming).

CaptainCarl, Unfortunately you are right. The dollar is speeding down the wrong path. Before long the dollar will not be taken seriously. Hell many nations don't take it seriously now. Time to find other sources of valued assets as opposed to a big bank account.
