Don't let Flylow fool you, pilots are leaving NetJets for better opportunities. If NetJets fits your lifestyle go for it. But from the interviews that other candidates experienced, I would look to the regionals to get your experience and move on to the majors. The unprofessionalism that interviewing candidates have had to deal with is just a glimpse of what pilots have to deal with at NetJets.

There's a rumor they may dump 32 Excels next year, those jets are way past worn out. That might explain why they're not hiring more aggressively. In another week to 10 days we'll have the latest seniority list out and see how it looks. Personally I don't see how they can dump 32 older jets next year, even with all the Latitudes coming in.

Despite Flylow’s continued hallucinations to the contrary, NJ is currently a dumpster fire. Not the 4 alarm conflagration at Flex mind you, but it is more than just smoldering embers.



Any pilot at NJ that recommends another pilot is wrong on two accounts:



1) They are really not doing their friend a favor by sentencing them to a minimum of 10 years in the right seat of a phone booth.



2) Nothing will change at NJ until the company has REAL trouble filling the growing number of vacancies so we’re slitting our own throats every time we help the company fill a spot.

The bottleneck has started moving and will simplify further with some time and continued upgrades.

Once the transition is more or less complete we may not need as many pilots. I saw this happen at USAirways when the A320's starting arriving.

That rate of upgrades will increase at some point most likely. A 20% increase from current upgrade numbers is extremely reasonable.

They could stop at any time. They could increase in frequency for a number of reasons (and will).
