The FDP program is in the collective bargaining agreement. How much you make depends on how much flying in a tour you do. Pay starts after 10.0 hours accumulated.

Ok great. It seems I may have been reading older info and mixing up with newer info.

The voluntary extended days at 2.5 daily rate is what is not coded into the contract. As for FDP, I very seriously doubt we would ever do away with it.

Like others have said, FDPP is in the contract and not going anywhere unless a better program is offered during a new contract and is voted on by all of the pilots. So I don’t see it going anywhere. The pilots and the company seem to be happy with it.

Extended days are normally paid at 1.5 times our daily rate. Your daily rate is based on what schedule your on, how long you’ve been with the company, and how many years we are into the current contract.

However, there is a Voluntary Extended Day letter of agreement (VED LOA) in place right now allowing extended days to be paid at 2.5 times our normal daily rate. This VED LoA has already been extended once and will currently expire on April 30. I’m not sure if they will extend it beyond that. It all depends on demand and if we have the staffing in place to meet that demand. The extension will be driven by the company and not the union.

A lot of people are making a crap ton of money right now because of the VED LOA. I know some that have made in excess of $60k-80k in just VED money. I’m sure there are pilots that have made more that that by working on all of their vacations.

Yes the money is fantastic right now. But if the VED LoA program ends and demand/staffing is met, then the extended days won’t be handed out like candy and they will be paid at a normal 1.5 times the daily rate based in company need. I wouldn’t plan on it for your long term career financial decision making.

Will the Staffing/demand be met by April 30? Doubtful. Will it be met in 2022? I have no idea. With mid terms happening, who knows what the latest political **** show will bring.

A year ago, there’s no way any of us would have predicted the current demand we are experiencing today. After going through 2020, none of us would’ve predicted that 2021 was going to be the most money Netjets pilots have made in a single year of their entire aviation career.

Negative, I'm on the 8 and 6. Picked up about half the holidays. I did do 48 extended days. But i also took all my vacations and used all my pto days. So I had plenty time off.
