It will always suck a little bit, but management is doing a historically bad job at simply running the daily operations and that makes it harder and not better than ever before. They simply refuse to solve crew food issues. They overload dispatch into making many more mistakes than ever before. They overload every department to near failure almost every day. Watch training as it totally implodes, even with the now lowered hiring numbers they announced recently (I'm not talking about experience levels, just the amount of pilots they plan on hiring). The mismanagement is actually probably going to help us get an improved contract offer since they need the pilots to fix their mistakes more and more every day.

I will admit that it will always be an on-demand job and will never have major airline QOL, but there is room for some reasonable inprovements through punative OT when they schedule poorly. If it is expensive enough, they will improve the scheduling to do something about it. That said, anyone that wants majors QOL needs to go to the majors.

There won't be an agreement until PL and his henchmen are gone. He will lose the election. I'm calling it now. Then they'll have a deal within days. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. My understanding is that is a pretty fair assessment across the non MB blowies.

If we don't have an agreement before next summer, I wouldn't be surprised if PL is no longer the union president. I also wouldn't be surprised if most of the company's senior management is also not in their current positions as well. Operations this winter will be a total train wreck with a whole lot of angry pilots. The company will not be making the big profits if it gets to that. There will be changes one way or another. If it takes until next summer we all lose. Hopefully management will blink like UPS before there is a lot of pain. If not, the majors are all hiring.

I have been surveyed by the Union more often in the last 6 months than the last 16 years.... I don't know who you spend time with, but everyone I know has reported the same. I'm pretty confident Union leadership has a strong understanding of the pilot's will and are acting in lock-step with the pilot group's directives.

Why would myself or anyone else be foolish enough to replace a Union leadership that for once seems to actually give a damn about what the pilots want?

Maybe. That would be fun.

I think, and I think the union EB thinks the same that their union surveys are wrong and that everyone is just marking the high end most extreme part of everything.

But the will of the pilots are actually a very different than what they are putting down on paper.

Think where the rubber meets the road.

I don’t think that Pedro needs to go. I think he just needs to get control back of his union.

Thug tactics aren’t working and now it just looks desperate.

Having the mobile billboard show up at peoples homes is embarrassing, disgusting, and reeks of desperation.

Posts from management hacks posing as pilots on an anonymous message board indicate the current tactics are indeed having an effect.

lol management hacks. You really think they care that much to be surfing this board and creating a whole personality and then posting as if they were pilots? Don’t flatter yourself.

The union is too busy parking mobile billboards at managements kids school stops, in front of their houses, and neighborhoods.

Whose actions do you think are more desperate right now?
