I've never put in an app at SWA because I don't think I'd enjoy the flying they do. I'd also never put an app in at Spirit ( barring the great recession) because, well, they have a **** poor reputation. ( same goes for Frontier/Allegiant, SouthernCargo etc..)

I had a guy trying to get me to apply to Miami Air back in 2006. I did 5 minutes of research and realized no way would I want to work there.

If your buddy had went to SWA, JB, or one of the legacies and *****ed, I'd say he's a lost cause. But because he's *****ing at Spirit I say he should have researched the company a little better.

Brother I agree, I think if he ever does end up at SWA , or AA his outlook will improve markedly. Cheers Hawaiian Dude : )

Not saying everybody loves it ,or that everything is perfect , Just saying it works for some of us, I sincerely hope you guys find a place that works for you, even Spirit , if that's what it takes. Cheers. : )

I wouldn’t work for Spirit, I don’t respect them as an airline. I do know people there and from a pilot standpoint, there are way worse jobs out there.

A lot of my Detroit freight mafia brothers ended up over there, crap product which they freely admit but not a bad job when you make it to the left seat, the usual constantly, contentious relationship with management, unfortunately.

That's me! Yep I'm trapped for a loooong time. Good thing I'm under 6 feet tall.

Hey I've got an interview in a couple days any new updates on the interview process?

James2016 08-08-2017 07:38 AM

Phone Interview

I went all the way back on this board and do not see any gouge on the phone interview.
Does any one have any update on what to expect when they call ?

Thanks

If you actually answer the phone call from a 614 area code, don't come across as an axe murderer on the phone, and meet the required minimums, you'll be fine.

Just be advised that if they bring you to CMH and you toe their line in the interview, you'll be placed in a pool for who knows how long before they maybe call you for a class date in the mighty Phenom in which you will languish for years yanking gear, loading baggage, fetching the coffee, restocking and cleaning the jet, and wistfully watching your friends across the runway doubling your paycheck for less work in a Delta, AA, United, Alaska, (insert airline here) cockpit.

Buyer beware.
