Holding Saab Capt in FLL or TPA in 6 months? Maybe. Depends how junior or senior these new bases go (should find that out in about 2 weeks). You'd definitely be able to hold one of the other bases, though. But just remember that within the next two years a lot of FO's who are more senior will be reaching upgrade.

For those interested, Our new Saab bases were announced yesterday. They are:
Harrisonburg, VA
Clarksburg, WV
Gainesville, FL
Altoona, PA
Greenville, MS
Meridian, MS
Miami, FL
Tampa, FL
Fort Lauderdale, FL

The 1900 Bases up north will remain (Billings, Parkersburg, DuBois, Bradford)

I think I mispoke, I was told holding FLL FO out of class for the 1900. They have hired me as an FO.

So I'm curious, are these FO's you speak of not eligible for captain right now? Because that is what struck me as odd, and if a bunch of their FOs aren't meeting captain mins, then I can see why there is a 6 month upgrade time.

We're you hired as an FO or CA?
What airline did you come from?

I have a July 12th interview date. If all goes well, Id love a SHD base eventually. I'm assuming the valley isn't going to be a super senior base.

Idk if you could hold captain on the Saab that quick, it is possible but there really are to many variables right now to say for sure. You will be a very senior FO very quickly though so that will give you options.

The Beech 1900 FLL base is no more per the staffing bid. As far as I can tell the 1900's are all out of Florida when this staffing bid goes into effect over the next several months.

All I can say to those coming here is 3M seems to be heading in the right direction and there is no end in site for the growth. There will be growing pains for sure though.

According to the staffing bid, this company will need 236 pilots on property to fill all vacancies....By the end of summer we will probably have 250, with more on the way. I guess they plan on a lot of attrition?
