Ugh, lets not get into STL man...bad memories!

LAX-ORD (red eye on United) then run to K-something for the 6:00 STL flight on AA.

Screw STL....hard...with a cactus.

At least UA started that 7:45 SFO flight so going home I could at least get into bed by 2am.

I believe the last part of that. If all the rest is true, it'll cost the company a fortune in moving expenses. The next staffing bid reflecting hub basing will be effectively a global reset, displacing nearly all of the DECs from last year to the right seat. It may pour gas on the pilot exodus fire. Great news in theory for us senior FOs who got bypassed and are still waiting for our money and a shot at TPIC time, but overall it could be a disaster.

When was this announced? They didn't say anything about it in the interview last week.

Hate to be the guy to say it like this but there will not be a "global reset" nor a staffing bid.

I've said it before and I'll say it again....it's gonna go down like this:

-Start putting lines in IAD and ATL
-Remove lines from outstations slowly
-Wait for pilots to pref bid to IAD and ATL
-???
-Profit

Literally profit.

Contract says otherwise. Slowly shifting lines from out stations to hubs is changing staffing levels, and closing a status means they have to run one. There will be many grievances filed to stop the company from doing what you describe, and the lawyers will have lots of fun. I agree that they would love to do it they way you say they will, but they won't get away with it. Re: sections 9.B and 9.D

No doubt there, definitely would be against the CBA...but we've all been in this industry a while...we'll see how it plays out.

This is the old jaded Waterski in me talking now haha
