A pretty nice Universal actually believe it was the UNS1K. It could do a whole lot more if it wasn't in an old Saab.

Is there anything someone looking to jumpseat on Silver should know prior to showing up to the gate?

don't plan on being able to sit in the flight deck jumpseat if the flight is full. Between bags and fuel it will probably be an overweight scenario. I was catching a ride out of base one day when I used to work there on a flight with one seat open. The captain struggled to complete the W&B form while the FO held the whiz wheel like it was a toy and didn't know what to do with it. The CA said I could ride but my suitcase could not. What a sh*t show.

Copy. Also does anyone know of free parking at FLL? I'm commuting from FLL to TPA and will be using Silver and Spirit.

What are the trip lengths (vary from 2 day to 5)?

Is there cancellation pay?

Thanks

One more question, how rough is the systems course for the type ride on the Saab?

I took 3 min and looked at the Air Cond. systems, I understood the overall, one path gets hot air, one gets cold air and you blend, but how detailed does that go down to each component of that system using Air Cond. as an example?

Just curious, if I sign on I want to pass, I love systems, but we don't know what we don't know and I am trying to find out how big is big.

Really appreciate it.

thanks

This isn't the place to even begin to try and answer that question. Show up to class pay attention and you'll be fine they'll teach you everything you need to know.

They will teach you the oral and there are many gouges around other pilots. It's not rocket science like it used to be in the 1900 days.

Another Silver Jumpseat question...

ALPA jumpseatinfo.org says "Full uniform or business casual (no jeans)" is acceptable for jumpseating on Silver Airways, but a gate agent just told me that full uniform is required. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Thanks!
