I am highly considering applying to Silver Airways in the very near future as an FO. I was just wanting to get everyone’s thoughts on how everything is with this company; the good, the bad, and the ugly.
What’s the reserve time right now? What’s the junior FO bases? What’s the average upgrade time look like?
I am also intrigued by their Emerging Aviators program since I am planning to get my multi add-on within the next month and then get enough time and experience built up to get my MEI. My question is, where is the funds for this program for the additional certificates or ratings training and the money to help pay for the last 500 hours coming from? Does it come out of the sign on bonus? Is it a loan that we have to pay back? Or is it in addition to the $12k sign on bonus?
Any and all information you can give me about flying for Silver Airways and their Emerging Aviators program is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for all your help.

Dear All!
Does anyone know terms and conditions for foreign pilots (with FAA ATP) to obtain “green card” with Silver Airways?
Appreciate any information. PM if fill more appropriate.

Hi All,
Im at a regional and based in the North East. My regional is just the same as the rest. Poor work rules and flying into EWR/LGA is generally awful. 6 day trips also suck.
Is there anything about Silver that would make it a worse choice compared to where I am now? I would much rather live in Miami and having a day trip occasionally would suit me fine.
What y'all think?

We are hiring up to 16 FO's per month directly into the ATR and SAAB.
I'm not sure if Silver would be a better fit than where you are now, PM me with specific questions. I'll try to get you the information you're looking for to help you make a decision.

Remember that Silver is the former Gulfstream international rebranded to try and avoid that Stigma. What you really want is a regional with a well respected training program. That gives you the best chance to move to a major. Skywest, Endeavor, AA owned regionals ect..
