Anyone think how places like CommutAir will do once FTDT goes into action in 2 years?
Just thinking out of the box, short hop prop outfits will feel the most pain. Shouldn't be a deal here at Colgan as the Saabs will probably be gone by then anyways To the OP: Congrats, memorize the packet and know the flows before class. You will need to know it pretty much word for word. There won't be time to learn that stuff once you start school, so do it now. Once you hit the school house, study hard but don't forget to grab a beer once or twice a week. We usually took one day off (sat or sun) per week to let it all soak in. Good luck. |

Supposedly, there was actually an upgrade class cancelled to keep us from going even shorter on FOs. Everything is very well planned around here, and we are always adequately staffed. |

Will be starting CommutAir as a FO March 12th. Interview was a great experience as were all the company folks. Seems like a great company with excellent training, the potential to upgrade quickly and lots of flying! Anyone also in the March class or just recently finished with ground school feel free to chime in.

Not only that, but you will be TM buddies! You should be |

Little over a year and slightly increasing (we need FOs worse than Capts right now because they can't keep FOs around).

I'm just not sure I could stand slinging Dash 8 gear for very long. Thanks for the info. |
I'm wondering how many people are going to be in the Mar 12th class because the e-mails I'm getting only have 4 people attached. Of course I believe they just held interviews on the 28th so maybe some of those guys will be ready to go by then.
