Rumor mill is additional Q3's have been cancelled since we can't maintain the ones we have well enough for United to reliably schedule them.

A buddy of mine told me they grounded a plane in BDL the other night because there isn't an MEL for the speed index bugs. That sounds C5'ish.

Are the times still pretty solid at 900tt and 100 multi? I can't seem to get a call back either. I guess it won't be going down anytime soon because of the 1500 hr rule...

Yes, 900/100 are firm. If you have an internal recommendation, rumor has it, they'll go down to 900/50. It will only increase as time passes to be in compliance with the ATP law.

I have been trying to get on with C5 for 4 months now I have 1200tt and 200 multi... I even had a captian walk my resume in 2 diffrent times, I have no problems with the law, 2 failed checkrides, and no college... I keep waiting for a call back, I want to work for that regional more then most because of there location.

You like the location? Cleveland? Don't come here because you like the location. CLE is shrinking and might be gone in the future. So if the location is gone, I guess there really isn't anything else to like. Oh, except the awesome crews of course :D

Who knows. Maybe another class or two at least for now. I don't think anyone in North Olmstead plans for anything much farther than a month or two in advance... Until we start to see some movement to majors, things may start to stagnate a bit. FO's had been previously leaving for ExpressJet/Compass/Eagle/etc. but due to current furlough scares I don't know if that will continue... There have been a few captains who left for some majors, but again, few. Most of the hiring they have been doing is to play staffing catch up for the 5 Q300's we got about a year ago. If they have a class of 10, 9 show up, and 1 washes out. Out of those 8, another 1-2 leave for a different regional or quit a few months after training. That seems to be the typical story.
