I think he is saying he is disappointed GLA has found a way to circumvent playing by the rules every other regional carrier has to; hiring pilots with 1500 hrs. However, I am not sure if they are still a Part 121 carrier. Anybody know for sure? Did they lose their 121 certificate with the approval of their Part 135? If so, then they are no longer in the Regional Airline business and really don't need to be a topic on this board.
If you are a pilot with less than 1500 hrs, let's say 750hrs and would like to knock out the additional time in less than a year, GLA provides an opportunity for you to do so. Pay sucks, company sucks, QOL sucks. Pilot group was awesome when I was there. It is a means to an end: it sucks :) It got me here though.
