Cape Air 135 sea FO

I apologize if this has been asked about before, I searched but couldn't find anything.

I'm curious about the details of the Cape Air 135 Sea FO job. The minimums on the Cape Air jobs page are 500 TT and your sea rating. Since it's 135, how much flying do they actually do? Are they paid the same as the C402 FO's?

Thanks!

Pretty sure this is in the wrong place. I'm not sure what the seaplane FO's make because there isn't a pay scale specifically for them in the contract. If I had to venture a guess it's probably the 402 FO rate or better. The captains make about a dollar more than the 402 captains do at each pay step.

I used to fly those planes for them. I've since moved on but PM me if you have questions I might be able to help.

It's pointless now, they actually just announced today that they are suspending the seaplane ops. The people we were operating for dropped us.

O wow, I heard a rumor about that but I guess now it's official. Sad that they're suspending but unfortunately can't say I'm too surprised. Hopefully they find a way to pick it up again.

They wanna do Boston to new York but who knows they've been throwing that rumor around for awhile. I know they did a test out of the Boston harbor awhile back but since then it's been quiet. Who knows.

Thanks for the info, that is sad to hear.

I've got a while before I'm actually ready to start applying I was just curious.

Lmao! What a shock. It was absolutely stupid how over extended 9K has become. When they started the Montana EAS I knew they would be in a world of hurt. I was there for a year and it was a good time, but man it has really gone down hill.

That's the problem with 9K. They are spreading their resources wayyyy too thin. Especially at a time when pilots are harder and harder to come by. I do think it will all cave into itself and we will see 9K reorganize with fewer aircraft and routes. New England, Caribbean, and maybe a handful of EAS.

Even the Caribbean shrank this winter. Some jr guys got lines out there but it's mostly primaries and senior people out there. Not like it was a couple years ago.
