Nice! They really need pilots apparently, that's my impression after reading a lot. Is the pay/conditions decent?

They pay by the duty hour, starting is 15 with about a 63 hour pay period min. guarantee Pay period is every two weeks. The usual non cass travel bennies. health, dental, vision ect. 401K if you want. can't tell you much more because I don't know. look up Halverson construction, he owns it.

I forgot to ask you, did you have to take a writtent test with them?

And how long did it take overall the process?

There was no written test. I was offered the job at the end of the HR interview, then they asked if I could take the time to get the drug test done. I did. So the entire process was 4 to 5 hours. The interview took about an hour.

Anyone know if the 208 captains fly more than the minimum guarantee? Who are the jumpseat agreements with? Thanks

Everyone shatters guarantee in the peak season. No one does in the off season. At least when I was there years ago. They have jumpseat privileges with literally everyone on earth. No CASS and no KCM kinda ruins it tho.

You won't get much time in actual or IFR weather at Grand Canyon Airlines and I heard there is the smell of vomit from passengers getting airsick. Otherwise, might not be a bad job.

Is there a training contract for the Cessna 208 Captain position? If so how long?

Dillz 05-25-2017 12:18 PM

I am sitting at just over 750 hrs, Commercial Multi/Single Instrument. I just had one question before I apply. Do I need to be instrument current in order to get a job there? If so I will hold of on filling out the applicaton until I can schedule an instrument proficiency check.

Thank you for any info!
