Imagine Air

Just the other night I came across an air taxi company in Lawrenceville GA. called Imagine Air. Just wandering if anybody here knew anything about them. Looks like they are getting the Eclipse in 08.:)

new air taxi company

Went to school with the owner who is a decent guy, and the management circle is comprised of similar acquaintances. It's a new operation that put two Cirrus SR22's into service about a year ago, and has delivery positions for four of the new EclipseJets when they come out. I think they are doing ok as a brand new taxi service but I couldn't say how good the revenue really is. As a part 135 operator they hire with ifr 135 mins but when the eclipses come out you will have to be type-rated by UAL plus have 2500TT. If you are into air taxi and want to do that sort of thing, this is a very nice outfit to work for. If I had 135 mins I would try to get on with them myself. Air taxi is novel and will be a good way to build jet PIC time when they add 4 jets.

Point 2 Point up here in ND has a similar operation. They fly SR22s on demand. Pricing is per mile that you fly. But that operation is soon to be shut down. They literally have no money to pay their employees so they walked out. Can't blame them, who wants to do volunteer work for something you were getting paid for? I think up here the SR22 was the wrong aircraft to try to do that in. Pretty much from October to April if you are in IMC you're in icing conditions. Only time will tell if Imagine Air is successful.

Any new updates?

Has anyone got any new updates for this outfit? I've seen them advertising on Air Jobs Daily and I think on Find a pilot. I've read the previous posts, but all of that was last years news, so anything new? Pay? How is the operations run? Thanks!

Talked with one of their pilots about a month ago -- told me they were no longer getting Eclipses because of all the problems. They're getting (Meridians or TBMs) (Can't remember which one) instead.

I talked to the company yesterday and they said no hiring till first part of next year. You can send them your resume, but it won't do any good right now.

They've listed on a few pilot website and their's that they are hiring SR22 pilots. Thought I'd get this thread started again to see if any one has new skinny on these folks.

Imagine App

I put in an application at Imagine a couple of times. I have 2600+ total time, 900+ Cirrus time, ATP, and 135 qualified and current in a Navajo and SR22, AND live in Atlanta. No call. Good luck!

Did you call Imagine Air? I just put an app in as well and I have about 400 hrs in SR 20/22s and have 135 mins.

Up to 7 aircraft now and a new pilot was just hired. Maybe another guy added around the first of the year?? Maybe??

Growing and a great company.
