Tradewind Aviation
Anyone know anything about Tradewind Aviation? Minimums, pay, etc. They are based out of Oxford, Ct. They opporate Cessna Caravans out of San Juan, into St. Barths in the Caribbean. Wondering if they have a base in st. Barths or if you have to live in San Juan. Thanks

A buddy of mine just went there a couple of months ago. He enjoys it. He had around 1000-100 when he left. Not sure what there actual mins are. I believe they are based in San Juan. My buddy said they usually go to Puerto Rico for a 5-6 week stint in San Juan in the winter.

Here's the web site, if you don't already have it. One of the teachers at the school where I train went there a couple of months ago. Haven't heard anything.

They live in San Juan for half of the week, and then St. Barth's for the other half of the week. The company provides a crew car (they had a Jeep Wrangler), and housing in condo's.
My buddy is a Captain on the Caravan, and last winter he opted to do a 6 month stint. They gave him a week off ever few weeks. He had a blast, and still is having a good time!

Looks like it would be fun, I contacted them via email and found out they only fly in the caribbean from Nov.1 to April 30. They move the Caravans back to the NE US for the other six months. Not sure I would want to move every six months. My wife said she could live in San Juan however. Looks like a blast though flying into St. Barth's.
