I have a friend that may be needing a job in the Dallas area. What are the mins for an FO? Pay? Schedules? Upgrade times?

FO mins are 1200TT and 200 multi I think right now. It all depends really. I don't think they have ever hired anyone without at least 1000TT.

Pay is $18,000 base, plus .06c a mile, plus response time ($30), plus per diem, plus back hauls ($25), plus days off pay if you work them ($200). All and all it comes out to be around $33,000 to $37,000 for a year as an FO. I made $37,000 my first year but think it has been a little slower lately so it might be closer to $33,000.

Schedule is set at 5 and 2 for everyone except our UPS run up north in MN. We get weekends off except a rotating weekend on call every 2 months or so.

Upgrade times usually run around 1 year to 1 1/2 years. Just depends on previous experience and quality of flying skills. Upgrades come on performance, not seniority.

Hope this helps, let me know if you need any more info.

Captains make about double the FO's if you want that. I can give you break down's if you want them to.

How much time does your friend have? I don't know if were gonna hire anytime soon, but you never know.

I guess it is good they aren't hiring right now because she only has 600tt. Thanks 4 the info. Maybe since she is a Chick she'll get hired with lower TT. Haha.

If they were local to me, I'd go to them just based on this.

We haven't had a girl work for us in a looong time. The one that I remember, which was before my time, quit about a month or two into it because it was to hard. I'm not trying to bash girls here, but the one hour call to wheels up is kind of hard and loading 5000#'s of freight, by hand sometimes, isn't conducive for ladies.

Ewfflyer, you do have to live within 30 mins of ADS. We have a run up in NW Minnesota if that's closer to home?

Haha I think the Call time would be more of an issue for this girl than the 5K lbs. As long as nothing was over 70lbs.

There is always stuff more than 70 pounds! Most of which is on pallets and we have skates to move them, but still get a lot of loose load crap that is heavy. I'm glad you got the one hour call out joke. Haha. It takes my wife an hour just to shower and get ready, thats without checking weather, filing flight plans, preflights, W&B, and everything else we have to do!

Your wife is a pilot too? How does that work out? Where does she work? I'm asking because this girl is my gf of a couple years and she's in the same line of work and I'm wondering how this is going to work out.
