SAE used to require $8k prorated over 12 months for initial training only. To what has it changed? Please, only reply if you truly know! Also, their initial training was at Flight Safety International in Wichita. The training was very good.

The training bond is now $21K - at least according to some of the lawsuits which can be viewed by doing a search on Palm Beach Clerk of the Court. As to training, according to my sources, it's done in house with a sh*tty old Redbird sim, followed by two or three sorties in the plane. Hardly worth $21K!

What is happening at this company that makes one risk a lawsuit to walk away from the company? I've heard that they even sue you if you failed to qualify and that the traing program is very weak with a very high failure rate.

Enquiring minds want to know!
Current SAE pilot here. You hit the spot. When I joined SAE and signed the contract, I was not planning on breaking it. Now, I rather get sued by them rather than putting my certs at risk with the amount of ilegal BS that goes on here. From something stupid like them putting the wrong F/O on the manifest AND making him sign the manifest and fly like that for weeks just because they're lazy as fuc@$ and didnt want to add the F/O to the system to having non PC-12 mechanics work on the planes, to completely ignoring MX issues and concerns (hence why we had an engine failure 2 weeks ago), to gate agents ****ing everything up because nobody knows how to do their jobs. They over work you, you call in fatigued and they try to scare you by telling you that they will suspend you if you do and so much more...yeah, Id rather get sued. The training is a joke as well. The whole company is a joke and its an accident waiting to happen.

Today Southern Air filed another 6 lawsuits against pilots for breaching their contracts. Count now at 67 cases. I think this outfit is more of a law firm than an airline and it seems that's how they plan on making money!
