What can anyone tell me about San Juan Airlines in Washington State?

Just curious.

Thanks, Bub

Sometimes I feel like I flew for all these 135 operators at one time or another. I flew as Chief Pilot for West Isle Air in the late 1990s thru 2000. The company was sold and later became todays San Juan Airlines. I dont know about the present company but I loved the area. Glad to be out of the Cessna 206s flying over open water. Loved flying the Chieftains to Canada and charters to Alaska.

Just wondering if there is any update with San Juan Airlines? Pay? Benefits? ETC?

Default San Juan Airlines - Bellingham WA

I flew for SJA some years ago, and stay in touch with pilots who still have connections there. Low pay, long hours, fun flying, good experience builder in a scheduled passenger airline for new pilots.

I recently learned that the SJA owners sold the airline last week. It will probably still exist under some new ownership, but it's probably chaos and uncertainty for the pilots there right now.

The guy that bought SJA is a good guy, on the ball and ambitious. The employees are happy with the change.

Thats good news... I was thinking of trying to fly for them this last summer, but I wasn't hearing great things from the grapevine.

I they are still looking for pilots, I would be interested.
