Default Vintage Props and Jets Chapter 11

Based out of EVB and runs flights from DAB to the Bahamas:

Dear Vintage Traveler,

This message is the hardest that I have ever written. It comes with a very sad and heavy heart. At the end

of the day Friday July 18, 2008 Vintage will temporarily cease operations while filing chapter 11

bankruptcy. For a couple weeks we have been working with a promising investor/buyer and last nightabout

10:30 PM the talks stalled, that left us with not many options. I have personally exhausted Linda and my

checking and savings account and have mortgaged my house and property. I do apologize for this terrible

experience and I am aware that this will ruin the vacation for many.
I am truly sorry that we could not do better.

Regretfully,
Tom Crevasse – President

maybe they had some bad lease deal with the aircraft

They seemed like a great group of people, I flew with them and they let me right seat even though I was a PAX.

Too bad.

Hey Tom, I got a really good question for ya! But I'm not expecting a reply from you or anyone else in your lovely organization. I purchased tickets from VPJ to fly to Abacos in September; you have any intentions of reinbursing me my damn money?!

I'm guessing no...

Thanks also for posting all of this lovely information on your website.

You know what my favorite part is? The fact that I can still purchase a ticket right this very second on the webpage!

You know it would have been really nice to know 3 damn weeks ago that you were thinking about filing bankruptcy.

I would have been better off shredding the $700 you owe me and using it to catch the crap that comes out of my parrot. At least then it would have gotten some use.

Thanks Tom! Much appreciated....

You just decided to post your first post with that reaction........nice.......

BTW, here's what's on the website, looks like you get a voucher

"Our current plan is to issue vouchers for all un-flown reservations. Each voucher will have a
unique number in the name of the cardholder who made the reservation. Each person will mailed
written confirmation with their travel voucher numbers for your records.
All passengers who currently are owed refunds or already been issued travel vouchers will be
mailed written confirmation for your records. If you have not received written documentation
within the next three weeks, please notify us at [email protected] with confirmation number
and all pertinent information so we can locate your record."

What exactly is this voucher good for?

They are being very convoluted (big surprise).

Where and when can I use this voucher?

What airlines can I use this voucher with?

I was suppose to fly to Treasure Cay in 5 weeks; I need to know now if I need to book with another airline or will this so called "voucher" be of any use.

I've sent numerous emails and made countless phone calls, nobody answers or responds back (another big surprise).

I've already filed a dispute with Visa; I paid for a service that I will not receive.

This "voucher" is an unacceptable fix.

You're right, voucher is probably good for nothing. But Visa should take care of it, don't worry.

Here's a better thread to keep track of: VPJ ceases operations - Abaco Forum
