Default Kalitta Charters

Anyone know anything about Kalitta Charters, I see they are looking for Lear and Falcon captains. How is the pay, schedule, amount of flying per year, and quality of life. I am just looking for a place to get more Jet PIC then I am getting right now but I cant afford to go to a regional. Also does anyone get on with Kalitta from there flying the 747? Thanks for any info.

They also have Kalitta Charters II that fly’s 727-200 and Dc9. I would think you could work your way up to the 747.

No Flow Through to the 747 side. Current minimums are over 10K with 747 time.

Those aren't stated minimums, but with so many highly qualified guys on the street right now the guys getting in have been around a long time. The average for the 2 new-hire classes in April/May was 10,000+.
There used to be guys coming from one side to the other in the 90's, but that is pretty much gone now.

Hey Rama, since I have your attention, albeit on the wrong forum, but ref Kalitta (not Kalitta Charters)--What's the outlook? I got nothing from them but a polite automated email reply to my resume, on which, in all fairness, I listed my availability date as November 1, 2008, i.e. not quite yet. I've neither 10K nor 747 type, but I am a 20-year military heavy guy (around 6000 hours.) Is there a "norm" for when they might call/interview/hire?

Back to the original post:

What is the schedule like during your 2 weeks on? Do you work every day? If so, are you back home any or all of those nights? Two weeks on would'nt be so bad if you slept at home or where home a good portion of that time.

THX and good luck to all.
