Default Airnet SIC Program

Anyone have any first hand knowledge of the SIC program at Airnet. I've read what it says on the their website about it. (500 TT to apply) Are they still hiring for this program? Is 500 competitive if they are? If not what would be competitive minimums? Any comments on the program in general would be much appreciated. I've read all the good things on this website about Airnet and I am definately interested in gaining the experience of flying night freight and bettering myself as a pilot.

Thanks, UNDGUY

I called Airnet and asked them about a year ago and they said they stopped their SIC program. I have a friend that went their with about 1000hrs and flew the Baron for a year to a year and half and just upgraded to the learjet.

If your friend went there with 1000 hrs I assume he/she was part of the SIC Program since he/she did not meet 135 mins. When did your friend get hired? What does your friend have to say about the company now that he/she has worked there for a year and a half?

Hey UNDGUY i called airnet yesterday to ask about the internship program(which is cancelled) and he said the SIC program is alive and well and about 1000 hrs is typical. He did say a couple have been in with around 700. He told me to just fill out the application on the website and update it every month. They use a point system to grant interviews so make sure you fill out the application accurately. http://www.airnet.com/Careers/careersFrame.htm

Well, thinking back he must have met the 135 mins because he went right from his IOE being the SIC to PIC after a certain amount of hours. Now I think he may have even had an ATP so he definitly met the 135 mins. I would disregard what I said earlier about his experience. He got hired AUG 04' and is luv'n the Learjet now! Good Luck and I heard its a great place if your trying to get to Netjets because they are both out of CMH and he told netjets takes a lot of airnet guys. Good Luck
