Phoenix

Everyone flying the G1 goes to SAV.

As for hiring and Phoenix, all I can say is that I called and spoke to the owner looking for a position. Over the phone I wouldn't have had any idea that they were looking for someone. I decided to drop my resume off in person to the owner and luck would have it that they were hiring. My point is, if I had just faxed it or sent it or called then the answer would have been NO! Be persisitent and get in their faces, obviously if they don't need someone your done.

If I wanted a job at phoenix, I would talk to anyone at the company I could and learn everything I could and consistantly drop off my resume.
If you aren't bothering them then your not trying.

I notice Phoenix Air has been doing a lot of flying for air ambulance specialists flying Lear 35/36's. Looks like a 2 week on/1 week off schedule. Any one know what they pay. Per diem overnight rates?

ya we do do a lot of stuff with aasi. as for 2 weeks on 1 off that only applies to about 4 captains. as for fos you go for 2 weeks then are on call for other trips as soon as you get home.

Just got a call from Phoenix Air earlier today to come by and talk to them Thursday about a FBO position. Hopefully everything will go good, as I'm looking forward to getting back into aviation. As he put it, "it's not a glamorous position", but at least it's in aviation and who knows, maybe it will get me there later down the line.

I applied a couple of weeks ago and have not heard anything. I must not be very competitive. Only at around 1500tt/1250 multi/1150 turbine

Dash,
Don't know if you have heard of Pacific Wings (New Mexico Air). They run caravans from small ga fields into the big hubs, ATH to ATL for example and I know with your time, especially the turbine, you would be a no brainer for a Captain spot. A friend of mine flys for them and is based out of athens, ga. He does runs between athens, atl and macon, ga. Pay is around 35k for a captain. They don't advertise but I can get you the hr girls e-mail. I got the e-mail from my friend, sent my resume and she replied back with an offer to interview within an hour. I didn't get the gig because I had just barely broken 135 mins and they had inside FOs that were prime to move up (again, with your time you'd be far ahead of these guys). This was a few months ago but they have continued to open up new bases so I'd say it's worth a shot if you don't already have something cooking. Not sure if I can pm yet but if you want the e-mail shoot me a line at: [email protected]

Not to be negative but be very careful of pacific wings in georgia! My roommate used to be a captain and quit to come work where I am now. QOL is LOW you will be a van driver on your days off. Tread Softly and best of luck!
