Cargo is picking up?

Does anyone know why all the 135 cargo operators are flying a lot now? Checked flightaware and seems like business is good.

don't know the specifics but this time of year/October always seems to be busy for freight, I flew 115 hours 2 years ago in October and last year was 95.

As a line guy loading the planes it has mostly been auto parts. Most likely automotive companies catching up after the CARS rebate program.

Ad-hoc trips are picking up all around the boards. But I too fear that it is just catch up for the "cash for clunkers" program. We'll see if it runs through the new year. But in the mean time.... enjoy the work if you've got it!

Its approaching peak season. Fall and Winter is always busy due to the holidays.

Winter has typically always been my slowest time, the holidays don't really effect me much as we're not flying for FEDEX, UPS, or DHL. Fall is generally busy, and this fall has been OK, not back to the way it was a few years ago, but still much better than it has been.
