Air Cargo Carriers

Hi there I am wondering what the general opinion of Air Cargo Carriers is within the community. I have met a few people who have previously worked with them and they have had good things to say but none of them have been with the company within the last 6 years. I have always been fascinated with the Shorts aircraft and am just trying to get a feel for what the company is like before I plan a trip up to MKE. Any and All help appreciated.

PS: I know there have been threads before but they all seem to have wandered off topic some how.

Hopefully you're not just planning a trip for ACC. The last pilot I know of being hired there was almost a year ago. Other than that I"m sure it operates pretty similar to AMF. No news about a place is usually good news.

YEah my idea was to go up there and just take a look around. A few buddies and my self are headed up to Osjkosh and figured we would stop and see if we could talk to some people from the op there. On their website they have the flight requirements posted and a link to an application site

I was there from 06-07. Great pilots, great training, great aircraft. Watch your back with management.

Any word on hiring at ACC? Their website seems to always look the same...

I know they've hired recently. There is a new FO on the Columbia-Myrtle beach run.

The problem with their website is that it seems to state that they are always hiring. Also I have yet to find hiring Mins for them.

Air Cargo Carriers - Careers

ACC's minimum pilot requirements are:

* 500-1,000 hrs total time (min of 750 preferred)
* 100 hrs multi-engine time
* 50 hrs instrument
* ATP written
* 1st Class Medical

Usually there is a class every 3 months of 4-8 people. Just depends on new runs and attrition.

Congrats on moving to the left seat there tricky!

Thanks for the info twebb.

Do you know if they tend to stay away from people well over the mins? I know some 135 outfits are afraid you won't stay long if you have slightly higher times. I'm looking for the TPIC, but I'm already at 1650TT and 500ME. (Haven't flown professionally in over three years though.)

I'll get my application in as soon as I knock out the ATP written, but just curious. Thanks!
