Are you referring to the formal "You have been chosen for the Jan 9 class", time of shuttle pickup, etc?

Affirmative, it sounds like it.

So you already got that formal invitation? Was it an email or a letter...

So I'll jump in this Mokulele "Pool" convo too.

I received an email from Mr. Leek on 12/1/16, probably the same one you all received, and haven't received anything else. I'm just as anxious and excited as well, but really curious as to how much time I'll have to prepare. I have a house and Wifey I'm leaving back in the CONUS but still need to make sure everything is ready to go.

I would assume a two week notice is the cutoff time frame, seeing how they gave us a notice of the 9th of Jan and also Feb/March time frame. Maybe they are assuming we should be making plans already?

Two weeks would be the day after Christmas. Maybe that will be our Christmas present this year? Let's hope for the best!

No, not yet unfortunately.
I meant to differentiate between an email with that desired information vs the one that "everyone" has already received- "Thank you for your interest in Mokulele Airlines. We have received and reviewed your application. You have been included in the pool of eligible candidates for the class of January 9th 2017...."

My understanding is that you do a phone interview first and then the formal letter if all goes well. I'm only aware of the subject matter of said formal email due to a few associates that had went through the process earlier in the year.
So, until the sacred phone call, "Will it be Jan or later?" will be on the ole anxious brain. I'm in the same suspense as everyone.

Someone said it's a waiting game, and now I understand haha. This week must be the phone call week in my opinion.

I'd rather get a FEB class honestly, more time to refresh all my IR stuff and make moving plans!.

I received a call from Mr. Leek the other day. He answered most of my questions, and is supposedly going to call me back for an over-the-phone interview, so I'm kind of just waiting for that right now. He mentioned I would be hired as a street captain and most likely based on the Big Island. I worked In Juneau last summer for Wings of Alaska, (owned by Seaport) and just curious if anybody knows of any problems that might arise due to that. Somebody I worked with in AK apparently got turned down when they got there due to his/her prior involvement with Seaport. I'm really hoping that wasn't really the case but I also don't want to make plans to go out there if that is going to happen to me too.
For the record, I only worked there for a few months during the summer and wasn't too impressed with how things were being run so decided not to return for the 2016 season. I'm at about 3500TT and want to do something fun while I'm still in my early 20s and can. I may have to bite the bullet and go regionals if not though

It might help to ask Mr Leek before you go. I know there is another pilot at MHO that worked at Wings for a summer. She likes it there.

Good Luck. I may see you there. I was at Wings for a long time.

If i remember correctly Leek was a bush pilot in western Alaska before going to Mokulele so maybe you can relate to flying up in the frontier and earn some points. They need captains though so I would assume he isn't going to blow you off just because of that.
PS I like how you want to get out and have some fun flying before just going to an airline! Good for you! Someday we will be old and will need a cool life story to look back on not just autopilot in a jet for 30 years. Good luck!

No call for me (FO/SIC).

After reading my email, for the 12th time, I've concluded that we "could possibly" be called for January and that if we don't get the call then "could possibly" be called for February or March. I think that's what a hiring pool is, unfortunately.

2 weeks isn't a lot of time but it's still doable.
