Ameriflight Route ?'s

Hey guys,

I was wondering what airplanes fly into Houston...and is that a tough route to get? What airplanes fly out of Oakland (I am from that area)? Also, how long would it take to get into a Lear?

I'm not with Ameriflight, but I do know they fly chieftons/navajos, Be99s, Metros and maybe lears out of Oakland. I just got a call from the Oakland chief pilot to set up an interview. They told me they have Chiefton pilot slots available now.

Its been a while...but thanks! Does anyone know about what kind of equipment goes out of Phoenix and how difficult it is to get based out there?

AMF in PHX

Captain Teezy,

Phoenix usually runs very senior within AMF. They only have about two Chieftain runs and the rest is turbine equipment. Every once in a blue moon PHX hires a captain off of the street. So, it has happended, but usually current line pilots usually have dibs on open slots at bases.

As for the lear, unless you have hundreds of hours in lear jets, I would plan on at least 1-2 years.

What do you start out in and how long does the move up take, say to the Beech 19?

Was in San Juan, PR today and I thought I saw an AMF Beech 1900 down at the UPS ramp. Am I correct and if so where do they fly to?

AMF in San Juan, PR

AMF does have a huge base down in San Juan and we fly to all the islands down there and even into South America. We have 1900's, Metro's, and one 99 down there.

Thanks again for the info.
