Default How accurate are the NBAA pilot salaries?

I'm wondering how accurate the average salaries displayed in the NBAA annual salary report are for a 135/Charter operator?

If a pilot is offered a position with these companies, should they expect pay towards the low end of the spectrum. I've only worked in the 121 arena, and obviously the unions agree on starting salaries, and negotiating how much you're worth isn't part of the equation.

Thanks!

Depends on what you can make a deal on. The NBAA survey is pretty accurate compared to the Pro Pilot one which is skewed by self-reporting. The problem is it's all a negotiation, so there are many outliers. One Fortune 10 company is rumored to have offered 500,000+ to a new aviation director.
