Days off / schedule

I was wondering what the days off for other 135 guys is? We are under new talks with my company and they make it sound 2 days a week off rotating is a gift above industry standards. Currently it's one day a week.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but would that mean you currently only have ~52 days off a year? I'd say that's a pretty lame schedule unless you are typically sitting at home during your non-flying 'on' days. Do you have vacation time?

Job I'm about to start is 12 on/10 off.

We are at home while on call and yes we do have vacation time (3 weeks). We fly 4-5 days a week and about half are overnight trips.

Your vacation time is pretty generous. Your min days off are weak. If half of your trips are overnights then a 5/2 schedule would be about industry standard.
We work 8/6 for a mix of 91K and 135. Those 8 days on can be a mix of day trips or 8 days gone.

8/6 or 7/7 seems to be the new industry standard. I know of a couple of 135 operators that are doing 10/5 and 15/13. One day a week especially if you're on-call the other 6 is pretty crappy.

The 3 weeks is nice but it's because I've been there for 7 years. I worked in another department for a while. Thanks for giving me an idea on industry standard. It's always nice to have as much info during a discussion like this with the company.

I'll echo the sentiment that 3 weeks vacation is above average but your 6 on call per week kinda sucks. The way I look at it, my time off has diminishing value the the less time in advance I know it's there. Last year I only flew 200 days for my 91 job, but it was impossible for me to plan trips because I was always on call, making my vacation time my only true 'free' time.

My schedule is:

8/6 those are hard days on/off
Every other weekend off.
8 days vacation per year which is 20 days in a row on our schedule.
110k salary
Health benefits paid for whole family at 100%, only have co pays.

7/7 for me. How in the hell do you only get 4 days off a month?
