There are a lot of unemployed non-CFI 400-600 hour pilots out there and even they can't all be employed by ACO etc.

My flight school had 4 pilots go there right at 250 after their commercial checkride. If the guy is looking for a job other than CFI than that would be the best option IMO. Its turbine time and you get the crew experience to prepare you for a 121 job. Again, this is my own opinion.

I agree, but for those 4 spots, there were probably 200 applicants. Just saying it's not a spot that's guaranteed.

Nothing is guaranteed or easy Dera ;) but you still apply and get hired eventually!...sometimes even to fly a pc12 [emoji119]

Join the “Professional Pilots of Tomorrow” group. They are a mentorship group that will assign you a mentor as well as have many leads on low time jobs.

Nope, but we both know it ain't easy if you have 250 hours - that's why you too recommended getting a CFI :)

It's a lot easier when you have 500, and a walk in the park when you have 1200. At 250, when people say "just apply to X (AC1, Alaska etc) they hire at 250", they make it sound much easier than what it really is.

UPDATE: I got my CFI and currently just reached 700 hours. flew my brains out last month flew well over 130 hours which really wore me out but the hours are quick. I am looking for jobs here and there to get a better QOL but now that I have more hours under my belt I have better control and what I should and shouldn't apply for.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear it’s going well. I’m at 200TT with a MEI/CFI/CFII expected in the next two months. Hoping to find employment in the South Jersey area once I finish that up...

Seaport, Air Choice One, Southern Airways Express, Pipeline Patrol are all places that will hire low time. There are more people getting interested in flying now and competition has increased but I was hired into a 135 company flying a twin turboprop with 306 TT and about 15 Multi. Its totally doable. Just have to network and be persistant. Dont just apply online. Get a phone number and try to talk to a chief pilot. Find a captain to reccomend you. Im headed to the regionals now and it took a little longer than having a CFI but I already undertand V1 cuts, Flows, Paper Tigers, Duty Times, Memory Items, what to expect in simulator training, and flying arrivals into busier airports like KDFW and KMDW. I youre willing to network they can be found.

I think theyre FO heavy right now but Contour has hired 500 hr pilots into the EMB-135.
