Low hour pilot jobs and where to find them.
 

I'm fresh into the industry with roughly 300TT and my CPL with my MEL rating soon being completed. Is there any place I can look to find jobs that would hire low time pilots as I don't wish to instruct as I don't have a passion for it and don't want to be another boring instructor who doesn't care about his students. I'd be willing to move anywhere within the U.S so location wouldn't be an issue. Also, I'm a 19 year old getting my degree.

Climbto350 is a good one. With those hours it’s gonna be quite difficult but not impossible.
Aerial survey is a good option but season started already. Hageland aviation in Alaska hires with that time.
I have/had the same opinion about instructing, but I can’t stress enough how much easier things would be if you instruct.
135 jobs are not paradise, it’s hard work and sometimes surrounded by pirates haha. In my opinion.....suck it up and get your CFI. Faster way to get your time, tons of jobs and you can always work/change that mentality. I regret 100% about not getting it back in the day

At 300 hours, finding a job is very to extremely difficult. At 500 hours and 135.243(b) you can find jobs, often seasonal though. 700-800 you become competitive to PlaneSense and such PC12 SIC jobs. 1200 hours you can pretty much choose what you want to do as 135 IFR PIC.
Either build 200 more hours, or get your CFI.

Aerial survey and banner towing are about all you are going to have luck with. Survey season for picto has already started. Some of the companies might hire between now and the end of the season. Pay is bad but hours are good.

+1. Hit the survey/picto companies hard . . . around mid-season their pilots start dropping out. I landed one of these gigs back in the day around this time of the year (at 600 TT but some of the other ones that also got picked up had a lot less) . . . be ready to turn into a road warrior though.

Check out Air Choice One in STL. They fly C208 and they hire at 250 TT 50 Instrument and 50 night. I am in a similar boat as you and it really seems 500 is the magic number these days. I decided after blasting my resume everywhere that CFI is really the best way to go these days. Good luck with your search!

Get your CFI. I didnt but now im at 420 hours after towing banners for half a year...... Get the CFI.... you will regret it. i found a flight school willing to help with the price of the CFI for a commitment until i get my 1500. 80 hours a month. cant complain.

250TT are their MINIMUMS but they hardly ever hire with those hours.
There are a lot of unemployed non-CFI 400-600 hour pilots out there and even they can't all be employed by ACO etc.

McDonalds, Walmart and Kmart to name a few places that will hire you.
