Flying aerial survey is one way to bypass the CFI route, but it will be hard to get that initial multi time without your MEI.

Hey you're not too far down the road. Last time I checked you guys still had some of the cheapest fuel in the area up there.

Plus the food at GYI. Good stuff.

I"m in the same kind of boat. 320TT and a CE-525s type (met the right person and only reason for the single pilot was a few more things to do on the checkride). I know I'm not insurable as well. That job fell through so doing the CFI thing now. Everyone always wants to bypass it, myself included, but you learn so much in just going through the process of getting it. I did at least. To all my fellow low timers, get the CFI. Even if you don't use it, it makes you better.

Its weird... there seems to be a lot of that going around. Lots of low-timers getting decent gigs that only last for a few dozen hours. A coincidence or is there something in these owner's water?

Lots of owners keep shopping for the cheapest pilot they can find because they can't really afford the airplane to begin with.

I understand that. I am trying to find someone who owens King Air and wants right seat pilot to fly along with. I will take an aerial survey job if there is one. I used to own a Mooney M20C Ranger. May be that will help me...
