Time build Oklahoma, CFI, $30 per hour

Looking for someone to time build 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday's). In order to split the time you would need to be a CFI. We can't do the simulated time because the plane is not instrument current. I want to do 8 hours of flying per day when we fly. Your share would only be $30 per hour (maybe less)

The plane doesn't need to meet the IFR Equiptment requirements of 91.205 if you wanna to fly simulated instrument with a safety pilot under vfr.
Cessna 150?

I'm not a cfi though.

Not sure what the going rate for a CFI is but I'm thinking it's more than $30.00 per hour for instrument dual?
lol
:-)

Correct, plane does not need to be in current IFR certification or even have IFR equipment. Any basic VFR aircraft will do.

Come to think of it, it doesn't even need to have all the Equiptment operative to fly under IFR, you just cannot enter IMC.

From the FSIMS document :
A. IFR Training in Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC). Instrument flight training may be conducted during VMC in any aircraft that meets the equipment requirements of part 91, §§ 91.109, 91.205, and, for an airplane operated in controlled airspace under the IFR system, §§ 91.411 and 91.413. An aircraft may be operated on an IFR flight plan under IFR in VMC, provided the PIC is properly certificated to operate the aircraft under IFR. However, if the aircraft is not approved for IFR operations under its type certificate, or if the appropriate instruments and equipment are not installed or are not operative, operations in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) are prohibited. The PIC of such an aircraft must cancel the IFR flight plan in use and avoid flight into IMC.

He's not paying the $30 per hour, he's charging it.

I think you missed the joke. If someone was a CFI, why would he/she pay to build time

malc4d 07-19-2015 01:09 PM

Yup.....I might not charge a friend, but why would any CFI want to pay you to fly your plane, sign your logbook and run all the risks of the 'no win no fee' lawyers if anything went wrong now or in years to come ??

Yep, it was a joke.
I didn't spend a lot of time and money to get my instructor ratings to go pay someone to fly with them and take all the risk if they screw up and bust a reg.
I would also have to be able to verify airworthiness to include annual/100 hour, 91.411/413 checks etc. In other words have access to logbooks.
There will be someone somewhere desperate enough though to do it.
