Well I didn't figure you'd want the dialog from my entire time talking. It was a typical interview we started talking general conversation then progressed towards looking at my resume and that was the point where I wrote from. You know what they say about people that assume... It makes an ASS out of U and ME

Now you tell us that you had a complete conversation before hand, and that you started your story after that conversation and interview occurred. Quite clearly you had a very different story at the outset of this thread. ASSume, you say? No. We go by what you said. Some counsel: don't walk into a forum, throw around "funny" stories, change them, then address other posters as asses. You don't have the collateral. If your initial post began after the interview was complete, is it now your position that you left the interview, then walked back in and began your original post? You can't really have it both ways. It's not a funny story and your credibility is shot. You were offered sympathetic counsel and support. Consider it withdrawn. |
If your goal is to be a professional pilot as a career the best thing you can do at this point is complete a college degree. Put the flying on the back burner.

I started flying commercially when I was 18, and met many of the "I won't hire you because you're young" crowd. I finally got a decent time building gig and the rest was history from there. Keep your chin up youngling, it's only gonna get better. 'Squatch Who has been there, and done that. |
Still waiting for the punchline

Funny story haha one time I interviewed for a pt 91/135 Hawker job. The company managing the plane I flew for before in their jets pt. 91 regularly. I was actually refered by them and the job was mine. All I had to was meet the owner. The owner said thanks but no thanks because I looked too young. It was purely based on perception. Welcome to the corporate world kid. You're 19, it isn't the end of the world. At 500hrs I was one approach to mins in a fast plane from ending up on the news. Take your time and the good job will come.
