Puerto Rico

Hello guys,

Saturday research time :D

I'm planning a couple of "tours" to knock a few doors and put a face on my resume. One of them is to Alaska, and I already got it figured out. Second one, I'm thinking about Puerto Rico.

Any of you have some info about it? I know I'll visit Vieques Air Link and Air Flamenco, and I'll try MN Aviation even though I think Air Cargo Carriers hires their pilots (not 100% sure).

Any idea, names, an address, anything will be much appreciated.

Thank you guys :)
Javichu

how many hours do you have?

Did the same thing years ago.
Worked in Alaska to make a living and build hours.
Then to Puerto Rico for Twin and Turbine time.
Ended up in the Virgin Islands, flew DC-3s and Twin Otters while living on a sailboat.
Good life, but back then jobs on big jets were hard to find.
Got hired with Evergreen on the DC-8 with 5200 hrs TT.

Dang DC-3 and DC-8, what an experience, and a sailboat! :D

I saw a couple of jobs in the Virgin Islands, but I'm not sure if it would affect my Green Card status and residency requirements.

You should check out Flamenco Air. They hired a friend of mine recently.

You can try tradewind in puerto rico. You are short of what they usually ask you it doesn't hurt trying.

Good Luck.

The US Virgin Islands is the same as Puert Rico when it comes to green card and work permits.
Big benefit to be Spanish speaking in Puerto Rico, not in the Virgin Islands.
High crime in both, places, leave your Mercedes and Rolex home.
