Let's not forget that the company is now offering a LCR option. Something this pilot group desperately needed. And yes there's no concessions.

Overall, unless there's some big gotcha that's going to surprise us it sounds like both sides did a solid job.

Overall a pretty solid deal and I'm proud that our union and management were able to come to a reasonable agreement. Long story short for those looking in, the company says "we would have saved $XXXX this month by furloughing." A certain dollar amount is assigned to VLOA, SRL, etc in each seat. Each month they total up what was saved through voluntary programs, and if we hit the savings target, we're good, if not, then enough junior pilots are placed on SRL that month to cover the difference. SRL being better than furlough since it pays 20 hours and you still get bennies. The only thing I'd like to point out is that the LCR option os pnly available to pilots on a reserve half-line, which pays 37.5 hours for thr month.

This deal greatly eases the burdens on junior pilots without taking ANYTHING at all from senior guys. Seriously great work.

Solid deal and a win-win for both sides. There is nothing anyone should be complaining about given what would have happened otherwise and in the current state of the world and travel.

Thank you to all our union leaders and negotiating team, also thank you to the company for playing ball and having.a willingness to support your pilot group in these crazy times.

LCR at a reduced hourly guarantee probably saves you money compared to full guarantee but having to pay for a hotel/crash pad when flying for reserves will be non existent for October and November

uhhhh what crashpad are you using?? Half rate is a couple thousand less for most of us compared to the 500 or so you spend as a commuter per month. BUT. You can’t put a price tag on time at home and LCR is a HUGE win if you can make the call out time. Add in a side hustle and QOL is on the rise.

Thats what I am saying. I think we will see a lot of people (myself included) take the LCR due to the fact you have to pay for a crashed/hotel 19 days of the month and not get called to fly. Home Depot pays pretty well starting off, plus reserve pay.

Until they aren’t reaching their TSV and they try to get us to take a cheaper program by changing all LCR days to SCR each week. Not saying it’ll happen, but it wouldn’t surprise me. I will say, the union really did a good job on this. The company easily could have just kept furloughing and ignored any requests. Really hope this helps keep some folks stay above water. I’ve been through this before at another company and was at the bottom. There was no talks like this. I was just told “bye.”

the company will fly reserves now instead of giving trips to pilots to go OG. Also pilots are being released from reserve again..
