Great headset. Super light, quiet, comfortable, and small. Went to the Halo from a Zulu 2 and haven't looked back.

I had no clue of the discounts through AA. I definitely appreciate the heads up there Wink. Going to wait. In the mean time I'm going to look into the Clarify and Aloft headsets. I like the small footprint. After a long day, the in-ear doesn't get uncomfortable vs. over-ear?
Also, saw you ask about bags/coolers. Someone mentioned the Aerocoast EFB/Cooler combo bag. I have one that i no longer use. It's a good bag. I was able to pack 4 days of food in the cooler and my laptop and work iPad in the EFB attachment. If you are interested, let me know, it's in perfect shape.

As for luggage, you can also check Charlotte or Philadelphia craigslist as I've seen pilots post their older luggage works 22" if money is a little tight and you don't want to spring for a new one. I think the model is called the Stealth or something and there's a newer version that's composite so it's not so heavy; it's literally indestructible.

I would save the cash on the headseat and get a nicer bag. There is nothing worse than dragging your cheap bag through the airport and having the wheel bearing blow and your wheel is flying off towards someone's emotional support pig. Close to a true tale...I have a LW Stealth and it is a tank, but I still use the company headsets.

I hear that. That's all I've flown with for the last 7 years, but I've never tried anything else either. Hard to part with ANR. I'll look into the 8. Never used on-ear headsets.
Skyhawk: definitely personal preference, but those headsets look super comfy. I have some prescription Oakley sunglasses that are flat on the sides. Oakley Tincan Carbon. Work well with headsets, but my glasses I use at night are a big hassle with the traditional headsets. I'll let you know if I got with that cooler and pick yours up.
My last question is what's the limit on baggage? Can I bring a suitcase, cooler, and backpack or are you limited to two items? I've only worked 135, but I've seen pilots at the airports with like 5 bags corded together.

I've seen guys with a rollerboard, cooler, flight case, laptop bag, and another random duffel bag. I couldn't do it, that's too much to keep track of. I only travel with my rollerboard and efb bag (has iPad, laptop, headset, etc), and if I want to bring food that week, my cooler. Pretty simple.
The only time I have seen it become an issue was deadheading on another carrier and they tried to tell us we were limited to 2 carry ons just like a passenger. The gate agent might of been new.

It's getting down right silly with these animals.. I'm starting to get concerned one off these animals is going to go nuts in flight and attack pax or crew in the back.
