Default Headsets

What can you guys tell me about headsets? Can I use whatever I want? Are they company issued? I'm using knock off David Clarks for training right now, but would probably spring for some a20's of I could continue to use them on the line.
Thanks.

The jet is kind of loud up front. Who would think that throwing a turboprop nose on a jet would result in a ton of noise??

A lot of guys use Bose, there are three pairs of David Clarks on every ship if that works for you. Some guys wear DC noise cancelling, some lightspeed, really whatever floats your boat. FOM says they've gotta be TSO'd, but I've never seen or heard of anyone getting checked for that since it's not an FAA thing.

Long story short, I'd recommend anything with active noise cancellation. Welcome to PDT!

I recommend something noise canceling. The best one is is the bose.. the David Clark dc pro x are pretty good. The telex noise canceling is my next buy.. I have Bose now, but they are pretty beat up from years of airline use .. I don't know if the telex has enough anr for the jungle jet.

Look into the ufly mike as well. People love them.. https://uflymike.com

Clarity aloft pro and no batteries required. Love them. Get TSO because it has been an FAA thing in the past at my old carrier. Also Lightspeed sadly aren’t TSO.

Use the DC sets in the plane and save your cash. A little swab with the alcohol wipes and you are in business. Spend your money on good sunglasses instead.

The David Clamps are awful, imo. Use some of the bonus money for sunglasses AND headsets.
