FAPA Regional Pilot Job Fair

I was thinking about going to the job fair in Philadelphia in August. I don’t meet all of the requirements yet, but close on everything. I am 40 years old and I have about 1300 hours total time with an instrument rating. One thing I do not have is my multi and currently flying Agricultural. Any thoughts on if it is worth going to put some time there networking without having my multi yet? I am very interested in being a future airline pilot hopefully with Piedmont. Thanks in advanced for any advice.

Not needed for the regionals IMO. If you have a pulse and the hours you’ll get an interview.

Agreed, just keep flying, and once you're within 100hrs or so, put out for that multi-commercial rating.

FAPA job fair certainly won’t hurt. Bring your resume along and have a viable plan for how you’re going to get to mins when you talk with the recruiters.

They’re going to want to see instrument currency and/or a recent IPC if you don’t have it in addition to the multi mins. Once you have those, provided you don’t have more than two FAA checkride failures or DUI in the past 5 years etc. you should be in a decent position to get an interview.
