Money

I have recently completed Indoc and was wondering how much extra flying I could successfully bid for once I hold a line. I assume I will be in PHL.
Is 85 - 90 hours a month achievable?
Thanks.

Do you mean for pay or flight time? Straight line math to the 1000 hours maximum FAA Part 121 per year is 83.333 flight hours per month with a maximum of 100 hours in any one month.

well since triple is pretty much gone, it would be at straight time. honestly... its not worth is for straight time (hell anything below triple for that matter).

The lines are ebbing and flowing right now, Sept is lower coming off the summer. Even if a line credits say 85 hrs, at the end of the month you will most likely only see 70-75 hrs of actual block. That is unless you were on the line in Philly with the weather stupidity over the past few weeks ;)

Without bonus.. without perdirm

Fos should plan to make approximately 34 to 37k a year.

Captain's plan 52k to 65k a year..

Gone are the days of making a decent salary at Piedmont.. people at year 4 are making the lowest money of anyone in this industry right now.

Make sure you plan for a minimum 2 month delay from when you picked up a Premium pay trip until when you get paid for it, also.

Is it common for FO's to get displaced off of trips with SOE instructors? My friend says it's not unheard of to lose a couple trips per month with all the new guys coming on the line and needing SOE instructors.
