We’ve been told we will hire about 3 months before AA does. With AA announcing they will hire in Q4 I’d imagine we should see new hires coming through in the June/July timeframe. There’s a Flight Ops update coming next week and they could lay out plans there or give some insight.

Hopefully you have other options than PDT. Please don’t tell me they sold you on “flow” right now. 5 years from date of hire to mainline AA is long a thing of the past, like 2013-14 in the past. There are going to be a plethora of regionals hiring very soon and the only reason you should consider PDT is if it’s your only pony in the game and you live either in Philadelphia or Charlotte. If you want an AA wholly own you’d have a better quality of life at either Envoy or PSA. You would have more days off / month and you would make more money than if you came to PDT, you’d also fly a newer airplane and have way more flexibility and transparency in your schedule, heck, you’d actually have a real “schedule”. We don’t get referral bonuses at PDT anymore so nobody should be lying to you or selling you snake oil. |

I 100% second this through and through. I highly advise against coming here. I have such buyers remorse it’s not even funny. Be smart, stay away. The flow is all but worthless now and will be up for renewal in about 2-3 years so no guarantee it will continue. Avoid this place at all costs and you will have a much nicer career.

Piedmont isn’t half as bad as what most people say it is. That is all. It is a regional airline.

The poor snow flakes. Maybe they want a lolly pop.

I’ve enjoyed my time at Piedmont. I’ve worked for another airline and Piedmont is far from as bad as some make it out to be.
