Yet, another order for new aircraft heading to Envory and nothing about Piedmont.

Article mentions nineteen new Embraer regional jets will join the fleet of American Airlines Group subsidiary Envoy Air which with the additional aircraft will bring Envoy’s total fleet commitment to 169 (126 E175s and 43 E170s). No mention of Piedmont Airlines and a much needed replacement for the ERJ145 if Piedmont is to contimnue flight operations beyond the next 5-10 years. However, the article does mention that American/Envoy has 30 ERJ145s in storage.

Reads like Piedmont's ERJ-145s will be replaced with EMB-175s.

My guess you are right. E175 and CRJ700/900 slide in to Group 1 pay.

If they intended on doing that my guess is that they would have order 175 E2’s. But base 175 kinda says we gotta stay in scope sooooo….

My guess is PDT is finally going to be a ground handling company. Exclusively…

Upgauged regional fleet
American is focused on bringing larger, dual-class regional aircraft into its fleet, which will continue to drive connectivity from smaller markets to the rest of the airline’s global network. The airline expects to retire all of its 50-seat single-class regional jets by the end of the decade and will continue to serve small and medium-size markets with larger regional jets.

Dual-class regional jets with premium seating, high-speed satellite Wi-Fi and in-seat power are expected to make up American’s entire regional fleet upon completion of the Embraer E175 deliveries. The new E175 aircraft will be operated by American’s wholly owned regional carriers.

The article posted on Piedmont's webpage reads like by 2030, the EMB-175 will make up the entire regional fleet. Gone will be the ERJ-145s and all Bombardier aircraft.

Sounds like a good plan to me.
