The site still has SYR listed as a crew base...any insights on the flight to/from there from a flight crew standpoint..and what are the chances of a new FO being placed in SYR.

Your chances of getting SYR are pretty good. Infact, just about every base is having openings every month due to the high attrition rate. The commute will depend on where you are coming from. NYC-SYR flights generally have some availability on them.

Met, Thanks! SYR kinda blows in the winter...so that was a real concern of mine. And with my husband being full time Guard, it's hard to just up and move to a new location right now. Fortunately, Piedmont has a good selection of bases for my situation. Thanks again.

Laguardia is probably the best, but I'm sure NW has flights to most of the bases from DTW. Atleast in LGA you have Spirit too.

Yes. Try SYR, they have mainline flights. ROA has express, Harrisburg might have mainline.
