Quote: AA already owns an overwhelming majority of the 70-150 seat aircraft they use for regional flying.
Maybe i should have said 77-127. There’s a significant gap between the 900/175 and the 319

Brazil is open for business with a jet that rivals the 220. How many do you want and how fast do you want them?

The E195 and the A220-100 have similar seats. There are few of either on order. The A220-300 has over 500 unfilled orders. Brazil does not have a plane that is that size.

Just something to keep in mind,….. wholely-owned regional airlines have ZERO revenue. Their aircraft, buildings, land, and gates are leased. The only assets they own are parts inventories. On paper, they are already bankrupt. They can file for bankruptcy protections at any time. And when they file,….. those unpaid bonuses will be gone,

Moral to the story: get the money up-front.

Piedmont $100K bonus
I'm happy in my present non-airline job, but this $100K signing bonus, paid in the FIRST PAYCHECK at Piedmont, gets my attention. I did many years of 121 flying, mostly as captain, and I do miss free airline travel and other 121 benefits, and my starting pay beyond the bonus would be over $200 an hour (I'm told). So, if you are working for Piedmont as a captain and are reading this, here's your assignment: talk me out of it. I would live very close to my base -- no commuting. What's the company like? Good folks to work for? Company culture ok? I'm starting here with zero knowledge. Fill me in.
