Piedmont airlines

Is it hard to get hired by Piedmont airlines? I'm about 2 hours away from SBY location, I live in Baltimore. I'm thinking of applying to them when I have enough hours! Thoughts?

They were hiring with just a commercial license a couple months ago. Now the mins are way up to 500/50. I think they delayed classes in june and august to catch up on the training backlog. I think things are going to slow down quite a bit in the next few months. Rumors are going around that mainline stopped hiring. That is really the only attrition that we have been seeing lately. Not really anyplace to go in todays airline world.

Just talked to DJ today and it looks like Piedmont is gonna stop hiring. He couldn't tell me if it was permanent or only temporary. Guess its made it all the way up to Pike's level and they won't know anything firm for about a week.
