First off, I'd like to point out very clearly that I never said I hated it here. I'm VERY close to upgrade and have an awesome sch'd every month. Awesome for PDT standards that is. ALSO I assure you I am not just *****ing about it. I'm sure you're smart enough to read between the lines on that one. There are much better options for somebody with 700+ hours.

There's a nearly-300 page "PDT News and Rumors" thread with years worth of information about the company. Grab a beer (or a 12-pack) and read through this if you want a good look into what life there is like. Then, everything said on this thread, positive and negative, will make sense.
Gouges on aviationinterviews.com and willflyforfood will give you a good lead on what is contained in the interview. Reading some of those will reveal that the Piedmont interview is like everything else there; it hasn't changed in a decade (at least). RANT: I can't stand it when people come on here and post stuff like, "What is the interview like?" Go do some legwork and research like the rest of us, then come back with specific questions about what you want to know. For a company like PDT, there are a multitude of gouges online, and posts and discussions on this forum about this very topic. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think if you come on here with specific questions, you will get much better answers than the "Don't do it" and "this place sucks" that we see so often. /RANT. |

There is another thread with about 120 pages of reasons not to come here. If you come here and fail out of training then who will hire you? Currently at a 17% wash out rate.

If you got 250 PIC it wont be that bad. A lot of people cant upgrade because they dont meet the minimums to hold an ATP. Several pilots need to purchase 30-100 hours to get their PIC time up.
From my class (end of the 07 hires), they are still 50+ from upgrade. Most everyone before 11/2007 hires have the 250+PIC. It's MOSTLY the guys after. Sure it's nice to have guys under you, but at what cost (to them)? |

Don't give these guys hope. That's just wrong.

I know of 17 prior to 11/2007 that dont have it. Two of those need 100 hours. I am sure there are a lot more but walking around the airport asking how many hours you have seems a little ERAU like. ;)
I'm surprised at 17, I thought it was 12 (ahead of my former seniority), but then again, as popular (or more likely infamous :D) as I was around that place, I didn't know everyone. |
