I feel for the Mesa guys so bad...You're all excellent people and mgt handles you like foster kids. Its dispicable. Please push for a better contract...

Not to mention their 250 hr CRJ FOs...even more rediculous.

It SPECIFICALLY says in the post the rider was in the BACK, not the "Jumpseat".

Thats what I was thinking... Guess its not unheard of for a GoJetter to ignore the truth... My favorite GoJet story was the GoJet CA in the hotel van with us who was complaining about only getting 5 hours of pay for a 4 day trip. Great career move bud:rolleyes:

As much as it sucks that someone didn't get a ride to work, I smile every time GoJets denies another pilot, because all they are doing is creating even more animosity toward themselves. One of these days, they'll deny a guy that's going to interview them at a major.

In defense of Mesa, they have been nothing but courteous and professional when I have ridden their planes. I know they have a bad rep, but it is not entirely the pilots' fault that they have a malevolent dictator for a boss.

I ask Mesa for rides all the time, but I would never ask GJ for a ride because I would never given them a ride.

Check the tail number before you walk down that jetway.

Oh, and the mainline guys very often know exactly what is going on with GJ. Some don't, but most do.

I've jumpseated with MESA before... they treated me very well. I don't like the company, but they're people whoe want a better contract none the less. I'm sure theyll stick MESA in the next contract negotiations.

And Pilotara and Magnum Man... You don't need Cass to take a "cabin jumpseat." Maybe he was denighed a cabin jumpseat and he only say jumpseat? I duno.

You know it just hit me, I've got a buddy at TSA... he's a awsome guy. I'm sure he'd standup for a wrongfully bumped jumpseater as any of us would.

Thanks for the heads up about the denial. I'll send this info to Piedmont's union and some other facets. A Go-f'-yourself-jet pilot will never see the interior of a Dash again. What a bunch of idiots.

BoilerUP 12-20-2006 07:38 PM

Might be prudent for the denied pilot to contact PDT's Jumpseat Coordinator instead of starting a jumpseat war over some anonymous post on an internet forum.

flybywire44 12-20-2006 09:25 PM

Educate me, what could the Jumpseat Coordinator accomplish?

ToiletDuck 12-20-2006 09:32 PM

They could at least find out who the pilot was, get a statement, then fax a letter with a big FU on it.
