I am just as frustrated over the lack of a future from AWAC as anyone. It's defintely hard seeing other carriers grow with a clear vision and future , while we remain stagnant with a now 2018 expiration date over our heads. Blaming PDT or other wholly-owned pilots for our current state isn't the way to go and isn't a good look. This was inevitable. The fact of the matter is that contract regional carriers like Air Willy are on the way out as the regional model slowly dies. I've come to just accepting it.

They have already painted lines at PHL with 145 nose wheel stop marks.

Yes, just because RJPilot is a lying idiot with no self esteem, no pilots ever really leave Eaglevoy

But hey... enjoy your sloppy second hand "jets"!

Believe me we at Piedmont had that same feeling for the last 6 years. I know exactly how you feel and it sucks. Senior Pilot group, Very old fleet of planes, good contract with great bennies. While at the same time watching people under bidding us and we watch them continue to grow.

We used to think being a WO'ed sucked. You might however be right in the fact that many major s AAG included might see the regional model starting to fall apart and they think if they keep it in house with a direct flow they can salvage what pilots are left and maybe even squeeze out a few contract carriers to get the pilots.

Who knows. As much as people have said I boast about AWAC I actually don't. The market is what it is. Got more then a few friends there and I hope they land on there feet or find another job if needed.

But we at Piedmont know the feeling of not having a future and on top of that with planes timing out left and right.

I guess one groups trash is another groups treasure. We will take good care of them...we are used to flying the old stuff. I hope to bid that equipment soon and would be happy to be stuck with it awhile. How about the 140s and 135s too...you won't be using them right?

By all means, take em! They were only driven with careful loving care to and from church on Sundays. Financing plans involving further concessions are available. Don't pass up this exciting opportunity!

Assuming you still work at a regional since you are posting in a regional thread. My dentist is old and grey and on his 3rd wife, sound familiar? Oh, he also drives the same car as me. I also spend more time on vacation than him. This job isn't that hard and isn't so bad. It could be better, but talk to a dentist or doctor and ask them about their malpractice insurance and your alpa dues look like toilet paper.

Have you never been on a Dash? I've heard passengers complain about a 320 being small. Who cares.

We will be right at home! It's just like the Dash then. I guess our FAs are going to be x-trained on the Dash and 145 so they can do both.

The dash is MUCH more comfortable than the 145

yeah the dash is a town car compared to the fiesta of a 145

pitchtrim 06-29-2015 07:33 PM

Riding in a dash is like riding in the bed of a pickup down a gravel road. A 145 is like a new fiat. Small yet modern.

dash seats are far more comfortable that the 145, no comparison, trust me i've spent a good bit of time commuting on 145s
there's far less padding/foam in those seats

Maybe the 100 series but actually I'll take a 300 series over a 145 or CRJ-200 for comfort any day. But then again who really cares.

As a passenger... Dash 8 any day of the week over any RJ. The props put me to sleep.

To answer your question, nothing but irony in the ad copy, gotta be unintentional. On the other hand, if I'd agreed to let them use my mug for that, would fly shirtless from now on to make certain it could never happen again.

CRJ200 & Dash; flew them both, loved the Dash.
