Medical qualification at majors?

I have read a few posts regarding medical qualifications at some major airlines, and understand that some may impose requirements more stringent than those for an FAA first-class medical. Does anyone have more information about this?
In my case, my uncorrected vision is poor... around 20/500. Before the rules were changed in 1997, I would have needed a waiver for a first-class medical. Although I have a first-class medical now, should I be concerned about my ability to qualify medically to fly for a major airline? Any information about the requirements of the majors, either regarding uncorrected visual accuity, or anything else significant?

re uncorrected vision requirements, i believe ups does not have an uncorrected vision minimum...don't know about other carriers, years ago most majors had an uncorrected minimum of around 20/100 or better...that may have changed in recent years or done away with completely...best to check with the airlines you're interested in...
